At the Cumbria Social Enterprise Partnership awards on the 28th April, Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2022 went to our CEO and peer support lead Charlotte Fox for her work with Aupeer CIC.
Without Charlotte the space and opportunity that Aupeer brings simply wouldn’t exist at all. Being autistic herself she has achieved all so far from an unequal playing field and despite her own personal challenges.
Her tenacity, ingenuity, and resilience rings are clear, but most of all her ability to be vulnerable and her compassion and passion to bring about change for her community, to ensure a better path for others is what stands out with our CEO.
We are very proud to see her recognised and representing her autistic community and raising the profile of autistic led peer support!
The work of the organisations and the great individuals who were shortlisted, runners up and winners at this year’s awards is outstanding and it is a privilege to have Charlotte and Aupeer recognised among them. Well done all.
Aupeer has achieved so much in our start-up year, but there is still much to do. Onwards!
