About our terms & conditions
We want you to feel confident and informed when subscribing to our peer support groups. The terms and conditions below explain how subscriptions work, including payments, access to sessions, cancellations, and refunds. Please read them carefully so you know what to expect and how we keep our groups safe, fair, and supportive for everyone.
Terms & Conditions - what you need to know
Payment is for a monthly subscription to gain access to the peer support group agreed by yourself and Aupeer CIC.
Subscription duration is calculated from the 1st day of the month until the 1st day of the following month.
Invoices will be sent out by the 28th day of the month and payment will be due by the 1st to enable access to your peer support group.
Late payment may result in you being unable to access your group. If there is no communication from you (the peer) to us (Aupeer CIC) by the 3rd of the month, your space may be offered to another peer. If you are having difficulty making payment, please contact your facilitator.
Upon receipt of payment each month, you will receive a zoom link, meeting ID and password to gain access to your peer support group. This link will be used for the entire month of your subscription. Sharing this link with others is strictly forbidden and may result in your subscription and access to groups being cancelled.
Meeting links will be changed on a monthly basis. It is the responsibility of you (the peer) to check for the latest link in your email inbox, including junk mail folders and inform your facilitator as soon as possible if this has not been received.
Aupeer cannot offer refunds for individual groups that you (the peer) are unable to attend. If we (Aupeer) cancel a group because of volunteer unavailability, illness or unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified as soon as possible and a refund for that week will be issued via your payment method.
For weekly peer support group members, the refund amount for one group cancellation, actioned by us (Aupeer) will be £3.75.
For monthly groups, an alternative Saturday to run the group may be offered. If this is not possible, then the refund of £7 will be made to you (the peer) to reflect the monthly subscription fee of one group per month.
If Aupeer has prior knowledge that your peer support group will not go ahead, for example during holidays and busy periods, this will be reflected in your monthly subscription as a discounted rate for the month. For example, if our volunteers take two weeks off for Christmas and only two groups run through December, the monthly subscription fee will be discounted to £7.50 for the entire month to reflect the number of peer support groups offered to you.
Although monthly payments may occasionally be discounted according to planned cancellations and volunteer availability, Aupeer CIC will never charge you (the peer) more than £15 per month, even if it is a five week month. Your subscription remains the same.
You (the peer) will be sent a copy of the Group Agreement by your group facilitator when you sign up for Peer Support Groups. The group agreement will be sent via email and a copy of the agreement will also be shared in the chat box at the beginning of each peer support group. It is your (the peers) responsibility to read and familiarise yourself with the agreement, to ensure that groups remain a positive and safe space for you and other peers. Any malicious breaking of this agreement, or anything that is deemed as aggressive, bullying or unacceptable behaviour by your facilitator, may result in you (the peer) being asked to leave the peer support group.
Aupeer CIC reserves the right to cancel your (the peers) subscription at any time
