We’re delighted to share a guest video from Dan Bird, who you may recognise from The Traitors UK (Series 3). Dan spoke openly on The Traitors about being autistic and has since used his voice to become an advocate for the neurodivergent community.
In this video, Dan speaks to Aupeer about the power of peer support for autistic and neurodivergent adults - how connecting with others has helped shape his life, both through organised peer-to-peer communities, (like Aupeer) and by natural gravitation towards other neurodivergent, like-minded people.
Dan shares how peer-to-peer support can foster confidence, empowerment, understanding, and a sense of belonging.
Dan has written a book sharing reflections from his travels around the world as an autistic person. You can buy his book: Go Neuro Way, available now on Amazon.
